roleplaying
Sep. 23rd, 2004 12:11 amI am very glad this current roleplaying game, where we're playing characters based on ourselves, is coming to a close. It's been fun (more fun when the GM gets tipsy & takes off her shirt) but really, one of the nice things about roleplaying is getting *away* from the limits I experience in normal day-to-day life.
Periodically, I'll do something brave, rash, and/or spontaneous, and somebody in my gaming group will note that I'm channeling my favorite D&D character, who was outgoing and risk-taking in ways that I'm normally not. Having a bit of Verrin stick, even after we've stopped playing that game, was a good thing.
Maybe next time I'll create a character that's big and dumb. I think that would be fun.
