Naughty Sorceress go squish. Damn, that was nontrivial. Lots of green pixel potions and plot holes, several tries, much scowling at the RNG. And now, the pondering of ascension. The fact that I've got a Mr. A made this run relatively easy. Hardcore looks tempting (and kinda intimidating)...this run was a lot of fun but felt too easy. (of course, I've now spent the Mr. A. And what made the run feel easy was the Mr. A, not the ability to, say, receive buffs or purchase things from the mall. Actually, the smile-of-Mr.-A buff I kept getting from envoy was in fact part of it. But anyway...I can always say, screw this hardcore thing, if I start the HC and then find it too frustrating.)

(damn, I want a cigarette.)

Sorry I haven't been able to smile as much lately I went all ascendy myself. I hae to say though, they wern't kidding about the big blood-faced volleyball, this ascention's taking much less time. If you do ascend, get your blood faced volleyball up to 20 and take it with you. It'll make leveling up much faster.

the lack-of-smile was perfecly timed. The last one went away during my first NS attempt.

My BFB is teeny-tiny; I've barely used it. I was figuring I'd bring my hovering sombrero, instead, since it's bigger. Though it's still nowhere near 20, so I've been spending my time earning meat to spend in the arena and making drinks for my clan. :)

Goddess, I am SOOOooo behind in KoL. I cannot work out how to kill off the knob goblin king. I tried dressing up in harem gear and dousing myself in perfume, both carrying big weapons and carrying no weapons (just in case it was a seduction rather than a slaughter that was required), and he kicked my arse both times. I tried adventuring elsewhere to gain a couple of levels, and he *still* kicked my arse. I'm doing something wrong here. Humph.

I don't recall there being a trick to it beyond the disguise & perfume. I think I used an Elite polearm. I might have used a moxie-enhancer; that's nice for dodging when your armor is less-than-stellar.

Congo rats!

Be sure to prepare before you Ascend, because ronin is a new kind of pain. Can take three days if you bring enough chow meins and good booze, but can take a week if you're back to eating sausage pizzas and drinking Mad Train. And do yourself a favor and untinker your meatcar before you go, the pieces survive the process but the car itself is a quest item.

Me, I took my Gravy Fairy with me, and it makes everything go faster in its own way.
