sevlast night's power outage was fun, until I discovered that when the power came back up, one of our switches didn't.
lesson for the evening: sometimes the surge protector isn't enough.
Now we have *two* dead 24-port 100mbps switches. They were both donated at the same time; the first didn't work when it arrived.
It figures that of two switches and two hubs in the network, the one that died was the expensive one. Looks like it'll cost about $150 to replace, unless somebody's got one lying around somewhere. :(
