when you find that a generally-unimportant subsystem of an important system is broken -- and has been broken for 24 hours, and you only just noticed -- and it's nearly midnight, do *not* try to fix the subsystem. It can wait until tomorrow. But if you break the whole mailserver trying to fix the problem nobody previously noticed, you *will* have to sit up until you fix it. Dork.
