it's only tv
Nov. 16th, 2008 11:39 pmSheesh.
I mean, yes, I know I shouldn't expect tv to be anything but all the worst aspects of the dominant culture, packaged up for entertainment. But, sheesh. I was enjoying myself, for awhile, there.
Anyway, wake up, nameless ABC execs who axed the lesbian storyline. I'm frustrated to watch the cast of Grey's Anatomy get younger, straighter, and whiter; please stop trying to protect your audience from omigod, the scary gay people!
My tv-watching experience is becoming too much of "hey, look at the cute white guys and their shenanagins!" I'd give it all up and just go play dwarf fortress with what lilttle free time I have, except it's kind of hard to knit in front of a video game.

on 2008-11-17 04:18 pm (UTC)My understanding from the afterellen.com article (and the eonline.com article it linked to) was that she was going to be bisexual, but that the script was changed and instead nothing happens.
