I'm cooooooold! The sunshine is goooooone! You HAVE to give me more food! I HAVE to get fat! Right now! Or I'm going to freeeeeze to death! Waaaaaaah!

She's okay in the kitchen, where the floor's heated. But when she forgets and goes to check out some other part of the house, all of a sudden the TERRIBLE UNHAPPY MEOWS start.

You just don't understaaaaaaand!

LOOKS LIKE MY KITTY.

Is it normal for kitties to sleep more whne it gets cold? I can't figure out if mine is depressed and bored because I took away the great outdoors from her, or if she's just, you know, sleepy.

Your cat should meet my cat. These days she pretty much keeps up a constant stream of "I HATE YOU! OPEN THE DAMN DOOR! STOP PAYING ATTENTION TO HER! PAY ATTENTION TO ME! HEY, LET ME BACK IN! WHERE THE HELL IS MY TUNA?! I HATE YOU!"

Good thing she's cute.

I housesat some cats (feste_sylvian and tamidon, on their honeymoon) who had the following:

WE'RE STARVING!

WE HAVEN'T BEEN FED IN DAYS!

WE KNOW YOU FED CATS WHO LOOKED LIKE US THIS MORNING, BUT THEY WERE IMPOSTERS!

My cats basically chase warm spots over the house all day -- next to me, a blanket, a spot of sun once I open the window -- and fight over them.
