I could smoke them out, but -- especially if there's a nest with babies -- I'd probably end up killing them. The nice thing about these services is a) they trap-and-release and b) I don't have to deal with dead rodents rotting in my house.

I'm certainly going to make sure we *use* the fireplace more this winter. That'll help. :)
