Has anyone else noticed that, as of the end of Season 2 of Heroes, sex=death for nonwhites?

As far as I noticed, the only non-white recurring characters who remained alive at the end of season 2 were ones who'd shown no sign of getting any nookie anywhere related to on-screen.  The closest we get, I believe, is a look at an ex of Mohinder's, early in season 1.  So he probably got some, at one point, but by the time we get him, he's stopped.  None of the flashbacks go anywhere near that time in his life.

There's plenty of dead characters for all sorts of reasons.  But the show seems to be particularly unkind to minorities who don't remain chaste.

I'm trying to decide how unhappy I'll be if I go read the webcomics and the trend is there, too.  I know I'm going to be unhappy if the trend continues through season 3.

I really *like* this show.  But this problem is VERY distracting!!

I have several issues with this show. I'm not sure if it was the writers strike or what, but it feels like things have gone wildly off. I really enjoyed season one, but got wonky in the middle of season two.

Have you been watching Mad Men? It really makes me appreciate how far women have come in the last 45 years.

If you are having smoking cravings at all these days, DO NOT WATCH MAD MEN. Trust me on this.

Hm...mostly you're right. Although Hiro had a girlfriend in season 1. Also it's unclear how to treat Maya. She was killed but revived. Also it's not 100% clear she had sex but indications pointed in that direction.

Other than that - yeah, the OH and I noticed. We also noticed that fat=death for women.

As a small business owner in a traditionally male field, it's one of the more compelling reasons for me to go back to the show. To me, it's a fascinating glimpse at "mainstream" 1962. But then again, it makes me grateful that I'm not of that generation rather than frustrated by the hurdles the characters have to overcome.
