Ella shawl, Print o' the Wave edging in acrylic and silk/mohair.
The long edge (visible in the front-view) is more rippled than I'd hoped. I knew it would be scalloped, but even after blocking, it wouldn't lie flat. That's the cast-off edge, so if it drives me crazy I can undo it and do the last ten rows in something that increases more slowly. If I were to do it again, I'd run the edging on all three sides.
The four (well, three-and-a-bit) skeins were hand-dyed and all a little different, and while I striped them together moving from one to the next, the difference between the red-heavy body and pink-heavy edging is pretty apparent. I think I can live with that, tho.
The mohair is a bit itchy. This will be a nice dressy wrap, not a cuddle-up-at-home shawl. Maybe it'll softem up after washing (I've seen recommendations of shampoo and conditioner!).
Now I want an event to wear a little black dress to so I can show off the wrap!
Wow!
