*pout*

It looks like I'm not taking any classes this quarter. Because, of course, by the time they got my registration untangled the class I wanted to take was full. Why were they insisting I needed to attend orientation for a school I've already taken three classes from, over the last two years? And why doesn't that class have a waiting list? Other classes have a waiting list.

Postponing to spring quarter actually throws a nasty monkey-wrench into my life-scheduling. Because now that long vacation that I was planning on taking in the spring will need to happen before spring quarter starts, or else I miss a bunch of class, or else I postpone the class to summer quarter, which means getting the abbreviated summer version of the class.

Next fall my life is slated to get too busy for classes for awhile.

Color me annoyed.
Perhaps I'll try dropping the instructor a note.

The lack of a waiting list might work in your favor if you are willing to write a flattering note and do the extra work of showing up for the first few days of class.

Might see if you can audit/sit in this term, then get credit another. Not all profs will do it, but some will. (And, if someone drops, you might get in long after wait-list folks couldn't.)

Yeah. Talk to the instructor, and just show up.
