seeking sitter recommendations

(some of you have been asked this already.)

As I think many of you know by now, Ethan and I are planning a commitment ceremony for the beginning of November.

There are over a dozen kids on the invite list and about half of them are toddler-ish. We're planning on providing childcare for any twelve-and-unders during the ceremony. Do you have any child-sitters in Seattle to recommend? (pros would be nice.) We'd be willing to pay whatever their going rate is and they can partake of the buffet at the reception once the ceremony is over and the kids are released back into their parents' care. They should have their own transportation to and from the venue. I'm aiming for one sitter per every two or three kids.

At the absolute very least I do have to find somebody to watch any kids that come in from out of town (like my two-and-a-half-year-old niece, since my sister is participating in the ceremony).

(what I *really* wanted was something like this, but they're not technically babysitters and the ages of the kids in question are too diverse.)

I have quite a few friends in Seattle, too. Holler if you want me to ask around.

No suggestions, but I want to congratulate you for being so considerate to your guests who have young children. It's hard to enjoy a big party and keep track of over-excited little ones at the same time.

If Jeaneen (via my email to you) doesn't work out, dans knows a couple of student-type gals who babysit. You could try him.

I *didn't* know!

Not sure how I missed it, but...

Congratulations!

P.S.: This is the kind of question that I'd be *hopeless* at answering. %-}
