my wiscon schedule

This is very, very, very subject to change.

I arrive early Wednesday evening. If I slept on the plane, I might do something other than collapse. I will certainly be needing something to eat.

I will likely spend at least some of Thursday stocking my hotel room with munchies. (I'm eating every hour-and-a-half, lately. Access to food is going to shine brightly in my plan-breaking, even if its not apparent in my plan-making.) If I'm feeling up to it, I may volunteer for envelope-stuffing, or -- more likely -- I will babysit so that Kira can volunteer for things, because she gets such a kick out of volunteering.

Probably skipping the Friday morning session. Friday afternoon, I may end up at Feminist SF/F Jeopardy (1pm), and then, off to the Gathering. I will be bringing my knitting. In the evening, I may make it to the opening ceremonies -- I usually enjoy them, but they also tend to run a little long for me.

I expect I'll be doing some babysitting after the opening ceremonies -- even if the official childcare is open then, my *hope* is that we can get the baby to sleep & then I can sit in the hotel room with her, so Kira can attend her reading in peace.

And then, assuming I'm not on the verge of collapse, I intend to get dressed up and visit the Tor party, because I always visit the Tor party. (traditionally, because [livejournal.com profile] aynjel has me in tow, but why mess with a good tradition?)

Saturday's still fuzzy for me. I want to go to, like, half the panels happening at 2:30. I may actually go to one. :) And the "Raising Kids as if All of them Will Not Be Heterosexual" panel at 4 sounds interesting. Or I may just take a nap, because I intend to do as much hooting and hollering as I can during the auction! If by some miracle the auction ends before 1, I'm going to the haiku earring party.

Sunday morning, I desperately want to go to both the Melissa Scott reading and the Fundamentals of Feminism panel. Dammit. Perhaps I'll go to the panel first, and, when it gets repetitive (as so many panels do) I'll sneak out and catch the latter half of the reading, instead. Or I'll skip 'em both and go hang out in the dealer's room. At 1, "The Breeders vs. the Broads", and at 2:30, "Coming Out." And after that, a nap, so I can do the GoH speeches & award ceremony (like the opening ceremonies, these run a little long for me. But I wanna see the tiptree award, which means I'm there for awhile. No dessert tickets for me, as I can't deal with the Mad Rush For The Desserts With All The Pushing And Shoving (even though I realize that half the worth of the dessert tickets is to get a good seat for the GoH)...I wouldn't be terribly surprised if I skipped the GoH speeches altogether, but we'll see). And then the gallivanting around from party to party. I note that they brought back the fancy-dress party the year I can't wear a corset. Damn.

Monday, dunno. We fly out at 6:30 Monday evening.
