The new bulb for the enlarger shows up Tuesdayish, and then I can get back into the darkroom and print those pictures. This bulb burnout was really badly timed. I hope it is in fact the bulb -- it *looks* like the filament in the bulb is now in two pieces, but I never really paid attention to what it looked like before, and the enlarger spent two weeks being fussy about turning on; it needed to be jiggled once a day or so. That's not bulb-burning-out behaviour I'm familiar with, though I can, if I must theorize, imagine a scenario where that would happen.
