I used to read things that nellorat wrote on usenet, years and years ago. She recently noted that she's been mostly posting in LJ instead, and boy am I glad I saw *that* pointer...because now I get to read things she writes, like this piece she posted this morning on Fat, Desirability, and Category X, again.
