tormeting the cat
In her dotage, my cat has developed an annoying habit: she's taken to walking around on top of the bed in the early-morning miaowing. This is unacceptable.
I realize that at least some other people's cats behave this way normally, but this is new for her.
So now she gets locked out of the bathroom so she's away from her food-bowl while it's being filled, which panics the heck out of her, since she's not used to that door being closed, especially not with her on the other side. Mostly her experience with the bathroom door being closed is with her on the *inside*, and it means she's about to get a pill or get taken to the vet or something.
So then, once her food bowl is filled and the bathroom door is open again, she's afraid to go back in. So she walks around the bedroom, miaowing, periodically glancing over at the open bathroom door and quivering. Eventually she realizes that begging for food works better where the food is, at which point she wanders back over to her bowl, and, surprise! it's got food in it.
